CloudWave Attains SSAE18 Standards Certification Renewal plus HITRUST for OpSus Healthcare Cloud
Industry-leading certification confirms CloudWave’s commitment to delivering the highest levels of security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy
Marlborough, MA (October 7, 2021) – CloudWave, the largest independent cloud and managed services software hosting provider in healthcare, today announced that its OpSus Cloud Services are in compliance with the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) Service Organization Controls 1 (SOC 1) Type 2 and SOC 2 plus HITRUST. Audit reports of its internal controls were performed by Assure Professional, a leading cybersecurity, assurance and compliance solutions provider, and showcase CloudWave’s commitment to maintaining a sound control environment that protects client data and confidential information, building upon the company’s previously completed SSAE16 SOC 2 Type 2 report.
In support of CloudWave’s mission to provide reliable, responsive, and secure cloud solutions that help hospitals better serve their communities, these third-party certifications underscore the company’s pledge to provide the highest levels of security and operational controls. To be compliant, CloudWave participated in a rigorous analysis that includes Assure Professional’s five Trust Services Principles (TSP): security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. For CloudWave’s audit, Assure focused on security and availability. A complete review of the company’s systems, including infrastructure, software, people, procedures, and data were conducted.
Critical to the SOC reporting is the ability to assess the OpSus Healthcare Cloud and reduce risk, assure business continuity, and provide controlled security measures for enhanced privacy and confidentiality of health data.
“At CloudWave, advancing operational processes and security measures to support healthcare are the cornerstone of our business. We’re honored to have our SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 plus HITRUST audit report certifications renewed for the OpSus Healthcare Cloud to demonstrate our compliance to the highest cloud security procedures,” explains Mark Middleton, Chief Quality Officer and Vice President of Cloud Services at CloudWave.
