CloudWave Provides Lane Regional Medical Center with OpSus Live, Managed Infrastructure as a Service

Lane Regional Medical Center Chooses CloudWave for fully managed HIPAA and HITECH compliant hosting of its MEDITECH Electronic Health Record and ancillary systems with the OpSus Healthcare cloud.

CloudWave announces its partnership with Lane Regional Medical Center to support their MEDITECH Electronic Health Record (EHR) and enterprise applications with the OpSus Healthcare Cloud.

With their recent switch from MEDITECH’s MAGIC platform to MEDITECH 6.16, Lane Regional chose CloudWave to host their EHR and related systems. OpSus Live provides managed Infrastructure as a Service and includes daily operations, systems maintenance, and a full disaster recovery solution.

CloudWave’s relationship with Lane Regional began with on-premises infrastructure support and has since expanded over the last three years. Lane Regional chose the OpSus Cloud to provide disaster recovery, long-term data storage, and most recently, managed infrastructure as a service for their mission-critical EHR

Lane Regional Medical Center is a 139-bed community hospital located in Zachary, Louisiana. Lane Regional serves as the primary healthcare resource throughout Zachary and the surrounding region including Baker, Jackson, Clinton, Central, and St. Francisville. They pride themselves on their commitment to the community they serve and their mission is to provide exceptional healthcare services to every patient, every time.

“CloudWave and Lane Regional’s relationship is built on the trust that developed first through our use of their on-premises infrastructure support and then with our adoption of both the OpSus Recover and OpSus Archive solutions,” said Paul Murphy, CIO at Lane Regional Medical Center. “Based on our positive experience with CloudWave’s OpSus Cloud Services, we’re confident that OpSus Live will provide the availability, security, and performance our organization needs as we migrate from MAGIC to MEDITECH 6.16.”

HIPAA and HITECH mandate the privacy and protection of patient information, which is achieved through a rigorous security framework, including encryption of data both in flight and at rest. OpSus Cloud Services provide the vigilance and protection necessary to help healthcare organizations meet these requirements. Our defense-in-depth approach to security is made up of stringent operational processes, state of the art tools and technologies, and security controls that are interwoven throughout our cloud solutions.

“We’re proud to have organizations like Lane Regional look to us as a trusted partner to assist in meeting their technology and compliance requirements,” said Ken Brasch, Regional Sales Director at CloudWave. “CloudWave’s mission is to empower hospitals to better serve their community. By providing sustainable, quality services we are able to fulfill that mission while enabling our customers to focus on projects that deliver value to their users.”
